From Monaco, with Love: F1 Drivers and Their ‘Ride or Dies’

This weekend, all eyes are on Monaco for the Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious events in Formula 1. However, Monaco is quite a romantic place; our eyes are on the drivers and their passenger princesses cheering them on from the paddock. Here’s a quick crash course on the adorable F1 couples you might spot during the Monaco Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet

Racing is in this couple’s blood as Kelly and Max are related to former F1 drivers, but that’s not the only coincidence in this love story. Monaco is where it all started for this adorable couple who became official in 2020, and it holds a special place in their hearts. The two recently welcomed a baby girl at the beginning of May.

"I think we have a very healthy relationship, easygoing, we have a lot of understanding and support for each other,"  -Kelly via an interview with Vogue Netherlands

Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux

It’s no surprise that Charles is one of F1’s biggest heartthrobs. Since he made headlines as the second youngest driver to join Ferrari in 2019, he has become one of the most popular drivers. We can’t blame Alex because who doesn’t like a handsome man driving the infamous red car? The couple began dating in 2023, and while many of the relationship details remain offline, the two are rarely spotted apart. We can’t wait to see Alex and hopefully their dog, Leo, trackside as Charles races to defend his title and hometown again.

Oscar Piastri and Lily Zneimer

Let’s take a quick drive down memory lane. Oscar and Lily met at boarding school and have been dating since their late teens. Although this couple keeps things low-profile, she can be seen by the paddock occasionally and is appearing in Monaco. We are so rooting for these high school sweethearts!

George Russell and Carmen Mundt

George and Carmen have been going strong since 2020, thanks to a mutual friend who introduced them in London. Although Carmen is often busy with her career, she tries to show up and support George at his races.

“I enjoy the sport and spending time with him. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than G’s success.” -Carmen told People

Pierre Gasly and Kika Gomes

Dating rumors sparked in 2022 when they were spotted multiple times in public at different high-profile events. It wasn’t until 2023 that the couple confirmed their relationship. Since then, Gomes has frequently made appearances in the paddock on race weekends, earning her nickname as Pierre’s “lucky charm.”

Kimi Antonelli and Eliska Babickova

Kimi and Eliska are incredibly talented drivers and met through the sport a little over two years ago. Kimi is just 18 years old, the youngest F1 driver in the 2025 season, and Eliska is the first female Italian karting champion. Talk about a power couple. Not only do they share a love for racing, but a love for each other. Even though they keep things more private, F1 fans who saw them together at the Saudi Grand Prix couldn’t help but obsess over this young love.
